How to fix it
To remediate Kinesis stream data retention, you need to increase the retention period to meet the minimum requirements.
- Navigate to the Amazon Kinesis console
- Select the Kinesis data stream
- Go to 'Configuration' tab
- Click 'Edit' for data retention settings
- Increase the retention period to at least 168 hours (7 days)
- Save the configuration
- Verify the retention period is updated
